As part of Deb’s ongoing Healing Touch work in the community she presents Healing Touch as a complementary modality to Year 12 and 13 at Canterbury High Schools.
High Schools have a current Health Paper at Year 13 that looks at how Alternative medicines/practices can be used to treat some of the symptoms associated with the treatment of Heart Disease, Mental illness, Depression & Anxiety, Cancer, Infertility, Diabetes, Addictions, just to name a few.
Within their study they discuss the disease process and the traditional allopathic treatments for this. They then choose a complementary modality to discuss how this may complement traditional treatment. They ask about the philosophy behind the practice, its popularity, method, advantages and disadvantages, misconceptions and usually a practical demonstration is provided.
